I've been watching too many Korean dramas lately. Asian "soaps" are infinitely more satisfying than their American counterparts. The bad thing is every time I watch things like this, I revert back to being overly hopeful and hopelessly in love with love. I begin using cliches after cliches and longing after feelings and memories I've never had. True love is much more shallow, much less pure. It hurts--but not in any noble way. Love is about competition and holding back weakness. It's not the way they show it... people taking care of people in times of need.
Love is anything but acceptance. Love is a dirty struggle.
