state quarters

Before I knew it, they had already come out with the 50 state quarters. I remember in 6th grade, I wanted them so bad, I couldn't wait until they all came out, and Alice generously gave me the quarters I didn't have, not even realizing all the money she was giving me. 6th grade was an amazing year, I don't remember the last time I felt so sad letting a year go. Genuinely sad, not just melancholic over the passing of another year, but sad I was letting go of people and memories and good times.
