The short YouTube homage to David Foster Wallace based on the commencement speech he gave at Kenyon College brought me to tears.

There is just so much pettiness, so many small and big frustrations in life. The pettiness and directionlessness of everything multiplies by a billion when you're out of college. But I am so moved by his request for us to live more compassionately, to remember that this is life before death, that this is water.
